Like with any industry the pay grade for paralegals can vary depending on the responsibilities they hold, past work experience, level of education, and more. For those just starting out as a paralegal, an expected salary would be in the $25,000-$30,000 range – however this depends on what area of the country you live in. That however, is just a starting range and many experienced or senior paralegals command upwards of $80,000-$100,000 per year. There are many paralegal degrees and certifications available, from simple certificates to bachelors and post grad degrees. Obviously the higher the education level, the more salary one can expect.

Paralegal work is so satisfying to many because their daily tasks and responsibilities are so varied. They could be assisting their employer prepare for court one day, and managing the files and office the next. Attorney clients all have their own special needs and requirements, so this eliminates boring monotonous days. Paralegal work certainly has it’s advantages, and as a result, most paralegals maintain a high degree of job satisfaction and morale.
