The world is dominated by life-long learners: people who take the time to learn everything they can about their chosen field and everything they can about corresponding subjects. The 400 most successful businesspeople “the Forbes 400″ attribute most of their success to reading at least one non-fiction book a month. But when you have a family and work wants to dominate your time, carving out the time to read all those books can be really difficult. New books on every subject are being published every day. How is one supposed to keep up at work or school, spend time with family and find time to read ten to fifteen extra books a year?

Lean Six Sigma is an altered form of Six Sigma Training, but also a process all its own in many capacities. Knowing the vital differences that come with Lean can prove to add more to your quality improvement projects than you might have thought possible. There are basic fundamentals of Six Sigma that will not be absent in the Lean process, but there are also a few additions to the process that make it what it is.

It’s a sad fact of life that in 2009 / 2010 few are thorough. Whether it is employers seeking to hire a job candidate or for that matter most of us, we are just so overworked to be complete in our jobs and endeavors. In most cases we “just do not have the time”.
